Description
Students will take a nature hike to locate and collect unidentifiable natural objects, such as animal bones, plant samples, or a photo or video of an animal or bird. Students will capture video or still images of their collected artifacts or samples. Afterwards, students will share their videos on Vimeo or YouTube, or TwitPic. If grades 9-12, students will share their video/images and questions using Twitter and appropriate hash tags to solicite feedback about their artifact/sample. If grades 5-8, the teacher will share the videos/images and questions of the students using Twitter and appropriate hash tags to solicite feedback about the artifacts and samples.
Alternative: Students may publish videos/images and information to a class wiki or blog and use Twitter to ask questions and direct people to wiki for access to artifacts and samples.
